The Chief Executives Office
Executive
Business Coach Certification Programme
Autumn 2007 Dates
October 26 - 29
Nov 16 - 19
Dec 7 - 10
Syllabus
'I believe the CEO 2007
programme is the most powerful tutorial programme ever assembled in UK for
executive coach training. 16 acknowledged leaders in the international coaching
arena - all with enormous experience of 1:1 and group coaching and supervision;
and others with acclaimed books on the subjects - come together to provide what
I have tried to achieve - the most comprehensive and rigorous series of
executive coach training tutorials and practical sessions yet devised'.
Below we set out the syllabus, delegates, speakers, process and costs. John
Webster
Training and
personal study programme for :
- Award of Post
Graduate Certificate in Executive Business Coaching (designatory letters,
PGCert Exec Coach) by Chester University. This
is a University Masters level award
- Membership of
The National Coaching Register *
See conditions below
This is phase
11 of
a new UK initiative to create a training, and nationally recognised,
certification programme for senior directors to qualify - in the rapidly
evolving new 1: 1 coaching marketplace - as Executive Business Coaches.
Circa 90
MDs representing £35bn turnover have completed the training programme since commencement in Autumn 2002. They have helped
to refine the process which is now open to all senior directors meeting
the entry criteria. The 90 delegates from the foundation courses were the
first in UK to have the opportunity to be professionally certified to
University Post Graduate standard in Executive Business Coaching.
Attendance at the
Autumn 2007 training programme will be open to qualifying applicants with
an optimum limit of 15 delegates. Along with the 90, they will be
encouraged to join
CEO National Coaching Register (CEONCR, that was launched
in Autumn 2005 as the corporate brand marketing body. All NCR delegates
have the opportunity to seek membership of CEONCR with options ranging from
Associate status to equity based 'partnership'
http://www.ceoncr.co.uk
CEONCR
will be focussed on
the provision of 1:1 coaching at MD level. The programme includes
specialised training in coaching MDs and teams in the MBI/O (Management
Buy In/Out) marketplace so that the coaching role can, if desired, be part
of a portfolio that includes non executive directorships.
Programme Entry
Credentials.
As CEO’s initiative
is breaking completely new ground and is UK market leading, revisions to
the programme and its concepts are being made progressively. Currently
entry into the NCR programme is open as
follows :

membership. Open to Managing Directors with minimum 10 years
experience of 200+ employees and £30m turnover with exceptional PROFIT
GENERATION RECORD. They qualify for founder membership of
The National Coaching Register and the
term ‘Lead Coach’. By completing all parts of the training programme and
submitting a successful Learning Portfolio to the Chester University
they can obtain the qualification of ‘Post Graduate
Executive Business Coach’ and right to use the designatory letters PGCert
Exec Coach
- Affiliate membership. Open to Senior
directors or Partners in significant professional businesses like law,
accountancy, coaching, consultancy etc with minimum 10 years board experience;
or demonstrably experienced coaches already working at board level for at
least three years. They qualify for
Affiliate membership of The National
Coaching Register and the term Affiliate Coach. They receive
the qualification ‘Post Graduate Executive Business Coach’ and right (on
completing all parts of the training programme and submitting a successful
Learning Portfolio approved by Chester University) to
use the designatory letters PGCert Exec Coach
Qualification

each of 4 days (6

- A reading
list of circa 8 specialised books
- 3 coaching
